MNEMIS is a digital health platform enabling patients to securely store, access, and share their medical documents. It is operated by MNEMIS SAS, a société par actions simplifiée (SAS) incorporated under French law and currently in the process of registration. Registration details (share capital, company number) will be updated upon incorporation.
MNEMIS operates as a certified Hébergeur de Données de Santé (HDS — Health Data Host), in accordance with Article L.1111-8 of the French Code de la santé publique (Public Health Code). HDS certification is a mandatory French regulatory framework for the hosting of personal health data. Data is hosted in France on HDS-certified infrastructure.

Patient registration is carried out by a MNEMIS-validated healthcare professional during a consultation. The patient receives a personal HPK token — a unique, confidential identifier providing access to their digital health record.
Physicians and healthcare professionals must submit a registration request that is manually validated by the MNEMIS team. Account activation is subject to identity and professional qualification verification.
The patient's HPK token and healthcare professional login credentials are strictly personal and confidential. Users are solely responsible for keeping them secure. MNEMIS will never request these credentials by email, phone, or any unsecured channel.
By default, all medical documents uploaded to MNEMIS are private. They are accessible only to the patient and the healthcare professional who uploaded them. No private data is accessible to researchers, laboratories, or third parties.
The patient may at any time choose to share a document with the medical research community. This sharing is subject to the following conditions:
MNEMIS uses artificial intelligence models to generate plain-language summaries of medical documents for patients. These summaries are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice. They do not replace consultation with a healthcare professional.
HPK tokens are units of value attributed to patients and healthcare professionals in exchange for their contribution to the platform. In Phase 1 (MVP), HPK tokens are simulated and carry no real monetary value.
Healthcare professionals receive 1 simulated HPK token for each medical document uploaded to the platform, regardless of the patient's choice regarding sharing.
Patients receive 0.5 simulated HPK tokens for each document shared with the medical research community.
MNEMIS plans, in a subsequent phase, to issue real HPK tokens in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework. Simulated tokens accumulated in Phase 1 will be converted under terms to be specified at the launch of Phase 2. MNEMIS reserves the right to modify these terms within the limits permitted by regulation.
The MNEMIS platform, its interface, algorithms, trademarks, and logos are the exclusive property of MNEMIS SAS and are protected by intellectual property law.
Medical documents uploaded to the platform remain the property of their authors (patients, physicians, healthcare institutions). MNEMIS claims no rights over medical content.
Pseudonymized data shared with research is made available to researchers under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0), which permits use, adaptation, and redistribution provided that appropriate credit is given to the source.
MNEMIS undertakes to implement all reasonable technical and organisational means to ensure platform security and availability. However, MNEMIS cannot be held liable for:
MNEMIS's aggregate liability to any user, howsoever arising, shall not exceed the total amounts paid by that user for paid services in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
MNEMIS reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time. Users will be notified of any material change by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Should a user disagree with the amended terms, they may close their account by contacting support prior to the effective date of the changes.
These Terms of Use are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties shall endeavour to resolve any dispute amicably before commencing legal proceedings. In the absence of an agreed resolution, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts having jurisdiction over the location of MNEMIS's registered office.
In accordance with Articles L.616-1 and R.616-1 of the French Code de la consommation (Consumer Code), which implement EU Directive 2013/11/EU on alternative dispute resolution, MNEMIS will make available a consumer mediation scheme. The identity of the appointed mediator will be confirmed upon registration of the legal entity.
